Star Trek: The Way to Eden (1969)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708482/

I was watching it the other day on Netflix and wondered, who's that blonde next to Spock, and what else has she done in recent years.

Well, I found out she is Deborah Downey (Girl#1 in the credits). At the time she was mainly a singer and song writer (wrote the songs in that Star Trek episode), but did very little with her acting career.

She got married and now goes by Deborah Lyons. When she started having health problems which prevented her from singing any longer, she dove into painting. Obviously still paying the bills to keep her site online, so I take it she's still painting portraits even if the copyright at the bottom of the page stopped in 2012. Big Grin

I take that back. Her site has a MySQL database problem now and it hasn't been fixed yet. Maybe there isn't anyone over there minding the store as well as I thought. Big Grin

I used to drive past a house on the way to work that had a plywood sleigh, 8 reindeer and Santa on the roof all year long.

I guess it is always possible the homeowner passed away and the children hadn't had a chance to do anything with the property yet. If he passed away, then maybe it was because he fell off the roof after putting it up or while getting ready to take it down. Big Grin

Kind of reminds me of Tim Allen putting up the snowman in "Christmas with the Kranks".

Me too! I used to leave a small Christmas tree up all year 'round... In the last 20 years I haven't decorated or had a Christmas tree at all... too much trouble... Smile

They had the Burbs and I didn't know about it? Of course, I wasn't doing any searches for it either.

Guess I need to get a certain someone to pause their DS9 long enough for me to watch the Burbs before it pops off tomorrow. Smile

P.S. - I like the Xmas tree lights. Smile
