ZigZag Afghan

I had tried 2 or 3 different patters of this type afghan, and one of them was so complicated, I hated making it. I finally worked out my own pattern, this is it!

516afg.jpgThis pattern is an easy "zig zag" pattern using a a couple of different stitches. Knit, Purl, YO (yarn over), K2T (knit 2 together) and SKP (slip, knit, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch). Even if you're fairly new to knitting, this should be an easy one for you!

Enjoy!!

If you find an error in the pattern, please feel free to leave me a comment so I can correct it. If you have a question please leave a comment.

This pattern may be printed.

You are free to share this pattern, you may NOT include in on a website without my permission and you may NOT sell it, either singly or in a collection of patterns.

ZigZag Pattern: Please note - this afghan pattern is 143 stitches wide; If you want to make it wider or narrower, adjust your cast on stitches by 15 (15 less for a smaller afghan, 15 more for a wider afghan.) I've made this pattern for a baby, which was 30 stitches narrower than the pattern; I've also made this for a queen-size bed - 75 stitches wider. It's very versitile! Just remember, the "pattern" is 15 stitches so you must work in multiples of 15 (plus the 8 stitches I add for a no-roll border (4 each side)

K = Knit
P = Purl
YO = YarnOver
K2T = Knit 2 together

Row 1, knit across

(Knitting the first 5 rows give you an edge that won’t curl, as well as the knitting the first and last 4 of each row, even on the purl row.
